Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place but i have been looking at the Lidl cycling shoes that go on sale next week. Could somebody tell me what i would need to buy to go with them. Pedals? Cleats? Are they only compatible with certain types of pedals? They are certainly very cheap, but are they good value? Thanks in advance

Very good value, you can use them on flat pedals or fit the cleats and go clipless spd pedals.

I'm pinning my hopes on snaffling a pair of Lidl SPD shoes. Is it true that they suit quite wide feet? All the usual brands seem way too narrow.

It's a bit tacky imo. Infact it broke after a few days of use. I've also exploded an inner tube with it whoops. Although that might be more down to me being a bit useless, it wasn't showing the pressure correctly.
And lastly the rubber bit peels off very easily.

Might have a look, but tbh, not that impressed with last years buys.
Gloves dropped to bits within a week and the backpack (same one as listed this year but in grey and red) fell apart majorly in a very short time too.
The helmet was a good buy though!

Oh jolly good! I'll have to make sure I don't miss out this time. Lidl's only at the end of my road now
Anybody have any opinions on their saddles? Could do with a decent/cheap one that doesn't savage my squidgies
I've had a Lidl saddle on my do anything/go anywhere/commute/trail/shopping/pub/pootle with the kids bike for 3 years. It's excellent... though it looks a bit pants. No sign of wear, and it's done 2,000+ miles in that time (and no, I don't ride standing up)

I have wide feet and most cycle shoes are tight on me.The Lidls ones i bought about a year ago fit me perfectly.I tend to wear them all the time now leaving my more expensive road shoes gathering dust.
Hi, where have you seen these? I've looked around but can't find anything to show that they're coming up for sale soon?

Googled the locks and was amazed to see lidl sold these in 2005 @ £4.99 same price as next weeks sale, also on net for around £12-£14 they are what they are a light lock to be used forpeace of mind while nipping into shop or cafe for a few minutes.
