Once my Genesis is built, I am going to finally get a bike fit / assessment, not least as I need to get training for Ride 100 and need to avoid injuries to which I am seemingly prone

Needs to be in the London area (West / Central / Surrey) and it is imperative that the fitters understand knee issues (as I have a meniscus tear and cartilage degeneration). I would feel happier with a fitter with a physiotherapy background, rather than a bike seller who's done a course in fitting

The biggest issue the knee gives is pain going up hills

Not ideally located but doable, is Cadence Performance in Anerley who look like they offer the right things if anyone has experience

Cheers in advance for any recommendations

Thanks. Would be £300 for the two bikes which is do-able although on the higher side of what I was hoping

What makes them better than others as it's also a bit of a hike? The owners don't appear to have any medical training which concerns me

I've never used them (they charge more than what my bike is worth). But i get the impression the guy knows his stuff and really spends the time getting the bike set up perfectly for you!

I think they all claim to do that however. Do you know people who have been to them?

Cheers. They say they take 4-5 hours, while most say 2-2.5...be interesting to know why so long!

They just do a basic fit on a turbo. Not sure of the staff qualifications to do anything more than that. But cheers

I may have missed something here, so correct me if I am wrong. You are building a new bike from the frame up, are you having the frame made for you? Surely the people building the bike have done a full fit before the build started. Thinking about it obviously not, that is a poor show on their part.

No, a friend is building it. I have bought the parts to match the sizing of the Pearson which was built for me

I am confident on the frame size having test ridden a stock model. I just wanted a different groupset, plus other bits to be the correct dimensions (stem, bars primarily)

Just want to be sure everything is the right height, position etc
