Guzzi wiring? Now you're talking!

Don't remind me. The ignition switch on my V50 II used to fill up with water and short on roundabouts, on the le mans the insulation was rizla thin and fag ash fragile. that said that on my rgs jota was superb and i'm told morini could give lessons on how to do it. never found out if the ducati electrics were any good as i couldn't keep the bike running long enough to find out....

Hub bearings as I can't get to my vice at the moment. Also Mechanical disc disc brakes (Hayes MX4). Not because they're difficult but because of the frequncy they need doing.

Another vote for cantis. Off to struggle with the set on my 1986 Galaxy just now. Fronts are OK (no brokee no fixee) but the rears are innefectiveI I suspect because the toe in and horizontal alignment are right but only the edge of the block is contacting the rim. Adjust or let wear take care of it?

And Mickle's comment about Grab On stirred a memory. The late father in law went off after a fitting session muttering that if condoms were that difficult to fit...........

I've just remembered I hate fitting new tyres, at least my thumbs do, refitting is fine but new!

I have to admit though there's a certain degree of satisfaction when the do go on :-)

definitely fitting and toeing in brake blocks for me... they always move on the final tighten.

cables, gears and bearings I enjoy... Wheel truing and fitting a new headset is for the LBS.

Detest cantis with a passion. Thankfully, I basically never ride the only bike I have with cantis.

I do occasionally repair bikes for other people but anyone who brings me a bike with cantis gets the dog set on them.

I don't like that thing bikes do when the wheels go all sort of 'flump'.

The tyre bits round the edge of the wheel get all wobbly and loose.

It makes the steering difficult to do.

I have to take it to the local shop and they take it out the back.

They do something that sounds like "Fshhhh..... Fshhhhhh.... Fshhhh" and takes maybe two minutes.

And then the wheels are OK again for a few weeks.

I hate that.

So much hassle and that.

I hate, like, things that don't work.
