I don't know which plastic bit you mean but FYI I now have these on 3 bikes and they come with the parts to clip a Garmin on top and a gopro underneath. You can mount them on top or bottom stem bolts and, if you swap the plastic mount parts round, either way up.
Yes, thanks. I do have some of those. Not used with this unit yet. I presume you have. What is stability like?

They're fine. I can't discern any extra vibration type movement on the video footage and once torqued up they're solid. As the Fly12 is a heavy unit the gopro mount screw needs a fair bit of tightening to stop the unit pivoting up or down with vibration or slight knocks.
I move the Garmin and the Fly12 between them for every ride apart from a quick 5 min nip to the shops.

Maiden voyage for my Cycliq Pro 6 yesterday. All went well and the results are good.

I was out for about 6 hours and the battery was still on 2 bars out of 4 at the end. I haven't adjusted any settings and it retained about 4 hours of footage at 1440/30fps on the standard memory card that it came with. I could probably tune that upward by changing the settings or using a bigger card.

The auto-lock feature worked OK and detected the camera being tipped. The incident that it recorded was me taking the camera off the bike and putting it in my pocket when I nipped into a shop.

On the down side, I'm having irritating problems with the Cycliq Plus app. Its ability to connect to the device is uncertain. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't and it tends to lose connection. Also can write jpg stills from the footage. Sometimes it works OK, sometimes creates jpg files that no other programs recognise them as valid.

Here's a still. Unfortunately there's a smudge on the lens. That's not the camera's fault.

Same here.
I'm also not totally convinced that I've got to the bottom of connecting to my PC.
Camera does work well although the tilt function seems to need a lot more tilt than claimed. I put my bike down on the ground to stop for a piddle. Nearly horizontal but no locked files.
Caught a barn owl in flight yesterday.
Now thinking of a rear camera but will start a separate thread for that.

For what it's worth I've just ridden 6hrs 45mins with the unit recording. Battery is stated to be at 50%. Not sure how accurate that is or if power depletion accelerates at lower levels but that sort of performance is ample for all my envisaged needs.

That's good news, but, what unit, and at what settings?
I'm pretty much at my wit's end with my Fly 6 and 12. Both are just going bonkers: the 6 turns itself off immediately now; the 12 turns itself off after 2 mins., before, then 5 mins., and now I don't know but it's always been set to 15 mins. but why it can't just record on full card memory then start a new loop back, I don't understand.
Extraordinarily frustrating for something so expensive, and so potentially useful.
It's almost like it's designed to be deliberately painful and create mistrust in it.

Have you tried a reset and/or contacting Cycliq?

Hi. Sorry, don't think I can help much.

I'm running the 12 on the front and a 6 Pro Sport on the rear. Neither are causing any problems. They seem to be working as they should. I would suggest contacting Fly direct.

I was running a TOOO on the rear. That also worked well but I couldn't get my small saddle bag out of the way so was only getting a small field of view. Just doesn't suit my style - my fault.
If anyone wants it for £50...
