Big smiles - new bike

Picked up my new bike this evening. Scott CR1 Team.

Wow! such a comfy ride compared to my hybrid which is like a riding a pneumatic drill by comparison!
So chuffed! Still got to get used to the drop bars and shifters, but boy it feels great

Oh no......, they put tyres on it, that means it's next to useless now, but it's ok, I will take it off your hands and dispose of it

I was amazed at just how comfy modern road bikes are (to sit on, and when riding over rough-ish roads). Like you, I also ride (well, rode) a hybrid (Dawes Tanami).....which has seen no action since I got my Specialized Allez.

Why did I imagine that the road bike would be harsher riding than the hybrid... I must have been thinking along the lines of sports suspension being harder than normal suspension in a car. Clearly not the case. Brilliant!

No kids seat on this machine, the wee man has had his turn now heh heh

After several years of MTB / Hybrid bikes I bought a Bianchi roadie a couple of weeks ago and have been amazed how comfy the it is!!

Lovely bike, you'll never look back.
