Ok so I ordered some Altura team bib shorts. Ive tried them on. I know I need to ride with them to see what the real benfits are, but the gel around the legs, Is that meant to be snug to my leg or loose to allow for muscle growth and movement while cycling?

ok, well mine are not but then they feel ok everywhere else. Should I try another size or maybe a different brand?

That gel is prevent them riding up

My other half refers to my bibs as my 'strongman outfit', stating that all I'm missing is a curly moustache and one of those round barbells with 1 tonne written on each side

But one a more serious note I've just ordered some DHB Aeron? 3/4 bib shorts from Wiggle. On looking at the sizing chart decided to order their large size as Am just under the sizing for the next size (XL) has anybody had any problem with the DBH sizing Should I perhaps have gone for the bigger size, ok I know that Wiggle do returns easily but it nice to get them right first time!

My aeron pro bibs fit great in large. I'm 6ft, 11 stone 9 and size 32-34 waist.

Remember they're not always going to be super comfy when stood up straight as they're designed to be comfy in the riding position.

Probably most important to make sure the pad is positioned correctly when they're on and not favouring somewhere forwards or backwards from where it should be.

If I wear non-bib shorts they push my 'love handles'* up so that they show, by pushing out my jersey just above the shorts waistline. If I wear bibshorts, I don't get this issue. So I wear bibshorts.

*currently being reduced, by more cycling, fewer biscuits and less beer.
