After several months of searching I finally sourced an XR3 disc frameset in my partners size and the correct colour scheme late last year. It was quite a bargain, purchased used and unseen on eBay, so I wasn't really sure what condition it would be in. Luckily it was almost perfect with only a few light scratches in the shiny celeste paint

I wasted no time popping in my spare carbon wheels that I'd earmarked for the build...

The next weeks and months were spent scouring buying sites for new and used components to build it up...

I found a new ultegra chainset going cheap so snapped that up, along with a reparto corse stem and some Deda carbon aero bars...

A couple of ultegra Di2 mechs and levers later and it was starting to look like a bicycle...

You've probably already noticed the signature orange hope RX4's... Truth be told I was looking for black ones, but these came up at a good price and I thought it would be cute if we matched when we're out riding together

I've pretty much finished building her up now, just a few bottles cages and mounts to fit before we take her out for her maiden voyage!

I'll get a few photos of the XR3 and XR4 together when a) I've finished building the XR3 and b) I've pulled the XR4 out of storage from the house move... She's still in hibernation!

Nearly ready to hit the road now  The XR3 now has bottle cages and gps/light mounts fitted, nothing left to do build wise

The XR4 needs sealant in the tyres and is currently having its Di2 charged, unsurprising having been stored since August and used only a few times in the last 12 months... Feels good to have her home and (almost) roadworthy  I've got amazon delivering some sealant tomorrow so once that arrives it'll be a 10 minute job to get her ready

Here they are sitting next to each other
