I usually use just water and squash for a ride up to an hour. Over an hour I may take a bottle with an electrolyte/ carb mix in.
What you need to do is experiment to see what works for you. I have found that it is better to have a small drink regular and often (15-20) mins than having a large drink every hour.
You need to push harder then edd,lol,over an hour and you bring a drink? i often do a little 17 mile ish circuit takes me a smidgin under 1:30 hours (i am slow) and i never take a drink not had a problem yet

No idea, but there is a hill that hits about 14-15% for the last 50 meters or so of it, tbh she is quicker than most of the men on the hill.23mph avge over a 19 mile training route is impressive, especially if it was a solo ride. What amount of climbing was involved?
