Hmm, I can do 10 miles in 40-45mins, so 17 in say 1hr10-1hr20 ish

That's on my hilly run today, on flat ground I might do it in an hour.

I usually use just water and squash for a ride up to an hour. Over an hour I may take a bottle with an electrolyte/ carb mix in.
What you need to do is experiment to see what works for you. I have found that it is better to have a small drink regular and often (15-20) mins than having a large drink every hour.

Little and often is good advice, not that I take it because I can't drink and ride at the same time.

Might see if I can walk down the street and chew gum.

It tends to be a summer luxury to carry a drink usually. I like a mix of pure fruit juice & water with a pinch of salt, kept at ambient temperature.

3 parts juice to 1 water for a bit of sugar rush on longer rides. 1:1 for general pootling around and 1:3 if its really warm and keeping hydrated is the big thing.

23mph avge over a 19 mile training route is impressive, especially if it was a solo ride. What amount of climbing was involved?
No idea, but there is a hill that hits about 14-15% for the last 50 meters or so of it, tbh she is quicker than most of the men on the hill.
