and much much less wooden-feeling!
Maybe they’ve updated it but I found the Durano Plus very wooden feeling in 2013 or so when I ran them.

We haven't all got the slaves of Mongo sweeping the road ahead, sadly! 😉Just like to point out I’ve been running some tubeless Michelin Powercup tyres for 4099 miles so far without a puncture. You don’t need tyres built like a tank to avoid punctures.

Pirelli Cinturato Velos are my commuting tyre of choice- robust, good puncture protection, easy to fit/remove if needed, roll well, and tubeless ready if that's your thing.
Marathon Plus are pretty much fit and forget. But as people say, a pain to get on and off the rims.
I've used Durano Plus for many years.
This will be down to the rim/tyre combo. When using D+ I've generally found them easy to remove and could even fit them without using levers. And I'm not one of those clever-clogs who has a brilliant technique for fitting tyres. I guess I got lucky with my rims and you didn't.i tried durano plus and found them a pig to get off the rims when i did get a puncture , a good 10 mins luckily in the bike shed at work.

indeed , i found its as much luck as anything else .
Never tried it, took me a while but I eventually figured out that pushing the tyre lever away from me rather than pulling it towards me made getting tyres off much easier - reliably easy in fact, and having watched the old Spa cycles video for Marathon+ tyres I can usually get them on without a tyre lever being needed at all.maybe , that tyre gider thing that is supposed to make it easier to get tyres on and off never worked on my rims
