This is the wife right ?
We've been together since 1990, but we've never got around to the married bit. When I met her, she was a purchase controller and even though she's been in teaching since 1998, she's still a purchase controller at heart.

She also likes to control my alcohol intake, food portion sizes and how I behave in public.

As a consequence, I have pork pies and small bottles of vodka secreted about the house. Also, (when I'm allowed out on my own), I walk down the street yelling "whatd'ya fink o Tottenham?"

When she gives me my dinner money, instead of spending it on a sandwich from the supermarket, I skip lunch and hide the money in my desk at work. So far this year, I've managed to save £139.50. Another month or two and I can buy a proper bike computer with sat nav.

All I have to do then is make up a story about me being sent a free Garmin by Amazon so I could write a favourable review.

Ah you won't have done the upgrading wheels, by making sure they are from the same manufacturer trick ? I also 'hid' a full suspension MTB in my garage for 18 months after I'd broken my spine. She probably would have killed me if she knew I'd bought one, just 4 months after a long hospital stay.

Tyres and wheels are pretty straightforward. I get up at 2am, sneak downstairs and do the swap whilst she snores away upstairs.

I pop the used parts in my rucksack and throw them into the sea at first light.

I use the Topeak mounts on all my bikes, you just need to swap the phone cover over. It’s nice and secure and the mount is really high quality.
