Thanks to this thread I spent 2 hours fantasizing about getting a £2300 ebike for those days I'm feeling too lazy to commute by muscle power alone. Ah well, a boy can dream!

And the Boss will never know ;)

He will know because I'll tell him. Nothing wrong with mistakes if they're put right. Besides, there's at least one clype in his circle that almost certainly knows roughly what happened. Anyway, he's apparently well known for crashing his previous Trek e-bike and coming home on one particular occassion looking like "elephant man".

I'm not sure what you mean but it's not my expensive bike. I do use it to commute when I can though but I turn an 8km drag along a flat, mainly straight tarmac cycle path into a 20km commute along a canal towpath. It's not like you just sit on the thing and it moves all by itself. :training:

I wouldn't rule out the pedal axle being bent either. Try a pedal swap first and eliminate that as a possible issue.

Post number one mate. Been here, done that. But thanks anyway. My advice is it's ok to skim to the current part of the thread but if you're going to comment you need to start from the start. And bonjour.

Which part of:

passed you by?

A tad unkind I think. He's made 113 posts here and they may very well be the sum total of his internet postings. Everyone starts somewhere.
