It doesn't claim to be a Bupa equivalent which at £15.50 per month is fair enough .
From what I can gather it funds diagnostics and treatments where there is a long delay on the NHS - like most of these things there is a qualifying period of 6 months.
Any experience/thoughts ?
Does it cover pre existing, worth reading the Ts & Cs very carefully

Yes it covers pre existing. The big exemptions are brain/heart/cancer as these are pretty well handled on the NHS.
It gets advertised a lot on the radio, it clearly offers less cover than BUPA AXA etc as the premiums are so much lower.
Oh yeah with my pre existing BUPA would be massively out of reach.
From my experiences there, I believe it was set up for workers in the Post Office who'd opted in to a scheme where they funded their own private health care and they carried it on after the introduction of the NHS. I remember the surgeons weren't top notch, as they very rarely are in private practice.
odd
my 2 surgeons were top rated ones
Which rate were they quoting?
Me too.I've cycled through Benenden. Seemed healthy enough.
