That does look good, and I have to say I'm impressed with the tyres. Enjoy!

Shall we have a user review in the next few weeks?
Hi Eribiste....There's lots of info and comment from new users of Triban 3's on this (and other) boards.
I would dearly love to do a 'long-term' review later...but at the moment there is little I can add.

They DO have their faults..........cheap tinny, clanky chainset, brakeblocks like pencil erasers, and...........erm.............can't think of much else....oh yes.....heavier than average wheels (until you gets the spanky lightwieght folding Rubinos's ^_^). Best to remember it costs less than £300 quid to get it all into perspective?

Some of the kit is pretty right on stuff, though..........carbon fork 2300/Sora sti drivetrain, good quality finishing kit, beautiful finish.(if you like RED?).....free chocolate bars....I could go on-

I like the look of the saddle bag. Did it come from Decathlon?

No......I was quite taken by the quality of Carradice's stuff and wanted something just a little bigger/ better than a run-of-the-mill 'Wedge'.

This is the 'CarraDura' Midi. Well made, waterproof, good design and I found a good discounted price at one of the big online stores so it was a no-brainer for me. I'm going to try to get my everloving wif. to buy me a no-holds-barred handmade traditional CARRADICE leather and canvas monster saddle bag this Christmas, as my ambition, (if I can build up the legs and this cheap and cheeky bike doesn't fall apart over the winter  ), is to do a bit of Old Skool lightweight weekend touring next year. We'll see!

Best

Actually....my last accessory (famous last words!) is a box I have just unpacked containing CrudRacer Mk II mudguards,

I've had a good look at them...but assembling seems something like trying to squeeze an Octopus into a Saxophone?

I may well just go with the rear one? I don't mind damp shoes TOO much - but hate that muddy skunk stripe up the back and the squidgy bottom.

Looks good with those tyres

Not heard the octopus and saxaphone phrase before, but I would imagine that its generally easier than fitting mudguards

Cruds are a lot easier to fit than they look , its just a caseof step by step and following the tips on the cruds website .
Cold, wet feet are just as bad if not worse than a stripe up the back imho especially when its really peeing it down.
Get some overshoes as well as soon it will be a bit fresh and some cliplees pedals, lights , stuff , stuff , more stuff , another bike in case it needs a repair and and and

Went into Decathlon today to have a look at the Triban 3 in the flesh for the first time, after having read the fantastic review in Cycling Active and many positive things on here and elsewhere about it. I figured a 60cm frame would be the one for me and I was right. Can't believe what you get for the money - the frame is gorgeous with really tidy welds and the carbon fork and Shimano STI shifters simply shouldn't be available on a £300 bike. Can't quite afford one just yet, but soon one will be mine!
