I know you've seen it all before guys...but as a beginner in the world of regular road-biking I can't tell you how pleased I've been with this for such minimal outlay.
I 've just put some new tyres on and taken her out for a spin....apart from that that...I'm pleased that the carradice wedge and 'tool can' hold everything I need for a good day out...pump, waterproofs, lock-chain, tube, multi-tool, lights etc. without having to pile every thing on my back. I love this bike!!

Lovely pics, thanks for posting. Love that tool can  Your saddlebag looks like a useful size too, is that where you hide your waterproofs? Very impressive storage, it sounds like.

Those tyres really work too ^_^

Too much red for mine eye......xx(^_^

Nice bike though - they do seem to be a popular choice with Cycle Chat folk.

Wow, it looks great! Those tyres go really well with it.

I wish mine still looked that shiny and new. I must take better care of it!

Waterproofs are in the can!

I can stuff a tiny fold-away Back-pack into a jersey pocket too. I the event I have to park up somewhere 'public' or dodgy (most of my rides seem to involve peaceful village pubs 'though - hic!) I can lock up with the heftiest better-than-nothing cable lock which takes up most of the Carradice saddle bag...and unload all the detachable bits into the little rucksac.

ALSO......Mini rucksac means I can buy a pint of milk, 4 cans of Tribute and an Indian Takeaway should I have a mind.
It was £2.99 and actually will probably turn out to be the best bit of kit I've bought!

These bikes are (were?) £299.95 and I've probably spent about 100 kitting her out as I would want (New stem, tyres, pedals, bags'n bottles mileometer, pump etc)
