I have been given a giant alloy bike
very retro yellow / grey with once stickers but instead of tcr / ocr the model is compact road . it has 9x3 campag mirage and a quill stem you can adjust the angle although its too long for me as i reckon its a 120 mm and i need a 90 mm for my fit on this size frame.
obvious bits of frame in need of a touch up but im tempted just to put stickers on it to hide them  im stumped with the year / spec

Top of the line OCR team I think and from around the 2000’s.
Don’t think it’s the 1.0,2.0 or 3.0.

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
If it's carbon it's a TCR and they're very decent kit. Someone on here was after one. Even in aluminium as an OCR they're good.

My son had 44cm one from the age of 12 to 16 as a training and TT bike. We only sold it because it was too small and it's still being used round the youth race circuits.

Nice. Gifted too. I’d be thrilled with that. Yellow ones go faster too.

i am really happy, solves the issue of the other bike thats too big
Options !! do i keep original as possible or update the parts ? the RD only moves half way across the cassette so i will have to play with the stops and cable tension and do i change the quill stem with a converter or get a shorter quill stem ?
I have better wheels but if i change them then its change the groupset as the stock ones will be campag

Providing everything works ok then I’d keep original.
The existing wheels may be ok, give them a try.
I’d probably go for a shorter quill stem which should be the cheapest option and keeps it looking original. I would go for a spin with the longer stem first and see how it feels.
