Be prepared for an accident

Lad riding a bike dropped the phone he'd been holding onto concrete.
Gave the phone a 'doh' look. Wasn't surprised or sympathetic.

This is a very moot point, open to much discussion & opinion.
When I was knocked off my bike in '18, I hit my head on the blacktop as I went down and was unconcious for at least twenty minutes as a result.
If I'd not been wearing a bash hat, I'd rather not think about the possible outcome.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that.

Although judging by the damage to my helmet by the road surface it did provide some protection against damage to the surface of my head.

I've also had concussion when my unhelmetted head hit a hard floor surface requiring stitches and losing a lot of blood.

I was knocked unconscious on both occasions and ambulanced to A&E.

I never advocate wearing a helmet or criticise the wearing of them.
