I did this once into a lampost, same cause head down trying to get up a hill. Ended up on my arse seeing birds flying around my head, came to just in time to see a van drive over my glasses which had flown off.

Always look up!

If you're on a road you should constantly be looking around surely? Whether we like it or not the car will always beat the bike in a collision so why aren't you looking out for this risk?

Surely just a traffic driving exercise to the blog in order to try to capitalise from / monetise the traffic it drives.

You do realise that black is highly visible on bright days against the brightly lit road surface?

And does wearing black really deserve a death sentence?

A Ninja blend's into the environment making them self invisible to others. So any colour that makes it hard for others to see you is just a plain dumb.

I had no idea that Black was a Highly Visible colour in the day time, maybe someone should mention this to the thousands of road workers who wear silly yellow and orange clothing.

Any Cyclist going out dressed as a Ninja in the day or night are asking for it, its just common sense to make your self visible to other road
I tend to wear black clothing so it could be suggested that I am dressed like a ninja, I wanted to check if I am asking for it as a result?

I wear black as it is easier to keep clean and doesn't show up dirt spots that can be kicked up during winter riding.

I do always have front and rear lights on and a decent rear light at that, so does that mitigate me asking for it?

I do regularly see people on bikes wearing not all black or even wearing high viz, but without lights on after dark, could I suggest that they are not taking sensible precautions to be seen instead.

I also see black cars and other non hi viz coloured cars and sometimes without their lights on when that might be sensible. Are they also asking for it?

I think the problem is these pesky skips - they are multiplying and magically move to knock you off your bike. They have not only become artificially intelligent and stealthy move about of their own accord but they are breeding. I have seen many of their offspring - smaller but always named mini skips.
My blog on the rise of these terminator skips is here
