I thought his ideal bike came across a bit mixed really. A steel frame to last forever then highest spec Campy and carbon bars which i wouldnt say are designed for their longtivity but form and function. I believe TA cranks are the best for durability and steel for bars.
As for the colour schemes its something i think no frame builder can match compared to the factory sprayed colour schemes .
Each to his own though. It came across in the book that Brian Rourke recommended the group set for compatibility issues.
Then why steel handbuilts than carbon wheels though he has a carbon bike already??

I thought it was ex excellent but I only caught the last 40 minutes, which is where the BBC need to have a BBC +1 like the other channels, as I can tape it then and watch it again.

I thought Portland was brilliant, and my hat off to Boris to keep promoting cycling, its people and places like this that give me hope, but its brilliant watching something you love and after you just want to get the bike straight out !
