Hi there

I was out cycling on Saturday on my road bike and seen a guy with a bag on his crossbar (I think that's what its called - its the top metal tube part that goes from the stem of the handlebars to the stem of the saddle - he had a bag at the front flush where it meets the handlebar stem) - does anyone know where I can buy one of these? I already have a very small saddle bag.

There are several types around. Depends upon your needs. Try putting "bike crossbar bag" into Google and see the images from places like Wiggle, Chain Reaction etc.

How big do you need? You can get tri bags which are small to some that are more like luggage

I use a Topeak fuel tank (maybe large size) which is big but then I have an iPhone plus which won't fit in the smaller tri bag!

Not sure it'd be waterproof, or take a banana (which the OP said he carries in his jersey in another post)
Nor big enough for a phablet
but depends how big it needs to be

This another option with a rain cover, take a normal sized phone etc, not a banana though

Looks pretty much like what I have - takes an iPhone, portable charger, house key, debit card and a tenner. Not noticed it damaging the paintwork, its strapped down pretty tight.

I have a Topeak one which gets used on occasion. Big enough for phone, keys, snacks tec. 2 Velcro straps hold it firmly to the top tube, the one round the steerer keeps it upright and doesn't restrict movement.

Got these in tesco for a few quid, easy to fit and remove, does the job.
