That's more likely the main meal I believe, not the whole day (and an average, depends how many roasties and pigs in blanket are consumed)!

I'm cooking this year.
The main Roast elements are: Beef, spuds, yorkies, J. artichokes, shallots, garlic, carrots (my daughter's choice), parsnips and p.i.bs.
Not keen on Turkey but my nod to poultry will be a dish of stuffing too.
Other elements will be : sprouts (with chestnuts and lardons), swede mash, a cauli chese (my wife's choice), and brocolli (my son's choice).
Gravy.
Horseradish sauce made with cream!
Christmas Pudding!

Normally when I cook a roast I do it off the hoof; but for this meal I'll have an excel spreadsheet to get my timings right, aiming to have everything on the table for 1 o'lock. I reckon that'll take both ovens, every square inch of the hob, the microwave AND maybe the air fryer too. Hopefully I won't need to press the camping stoves into action!

Add some snacks when guests arrive, an earlier light breakfast, a later light dinner, wine or beer (or both), maybe also that bottle of Spiced Mead I've been saving for months, and the inevitable tins of sweets and packets of biscuits. I keep my portions very small, and it could still be a very calorific day!

Got to be Warburtons Toastie loaf, or Lancashire Oven Bottoms. Occasionally thick fresh bread, but it's usually too 'breaddy'.
