My local club has 3 club runs on a Sunday , pasted from our website with an amendment of medium groups average speedas an update to reflect what it normally averages at..
The fast group leave Burton Town Hall, promptly at 9:15 a.m. The pace is higher than the medium group and the distance covered is 50-70 miles. Typical average speed over 50 miles is 19-20.5mph average. There is a cafe stop half way. We try and aim to keep everyone together until the cafe stop. However as the group gets larger this is becoming increasingly difficult so the route will be made known beforehand in case riders do get dropped. After the cafe the pace home gets a little 'hotter' and we operate every man for himself.
The medium paced group leaves Burton Town Hall promptly at 9.15am covering 50-70 miles at 16-18mph average or at the pace of the slowest rider.dependant on route .The medium and slow groups have a no-drop policy .

Last year i was getting into the fast group but since the birth of mini me #2 i do not get the chance to train so i tend to go out with the medium group when i get chance to get base miles in .
