No bad for someone in their 80s.

If you use Garmin they have insights and will tell you how you compare.

In sure Strava has this data as well.

As others have said, it isn't even good English, and has no evidence or deatail of whi h bit ofthin air they pulled the figures from.

And of course most of us older members will be looking at those figures and if they believe them (I don't) will be thinking, "great I'm well above average". Whether that is by design,or whether the numbers are just pure guesswork, who knows.

Sex is defined by biological features, gender by socially constructed features.
If your research is around physiological parameters you should disaggregate your data by sex.
Sports physiology research often excludes females and then presents findings in the press as if it applies to all human beings.

I am 69. My solo riding speed is all over the place. If I get up to 18-20mph during a section of the ride I am loath to slow down. If I hit a headwind, or hill and slow down to 8mph, that becomes my new speed for the next hour or so.
