Just Pathetic. Searching out a Uni event that is not covered by the WADA code, just so he can win. He'll probably be "competing" against people who aren't Pro's (or ex Pro's), so he's bound to win. If he really wants to compete again, he know's what the admission price is....full disclosure in front of the USADA panel, nothing off limits.
I suspect this is just him, "warming" the public up to seeing him doing sports and competing again in an attempt to lessen the impact of his current negative image.
i feel sorry for the other competitors who will now have to contend with the lance "circus" at the event.

I guess it gives some people the chance to abuse him live, though. I'll keep an eye on the entry list for the local junior school sports day.

The USADA ban doesn't mean the guy has to curl up and die. He's a natural competitor, enjoys to take part and win, what else would you have him do?

If it were anyone else, I might feel sorry for him at being reduced to such things but, nah, that's what punishment means. He deserves it. But even I don't expect him to denied everything.

If I had been on drugs, I'd have never found my bike let alone won the TdF.
Glad he's withdrawn though. I think that he either needs to fess up to everything to the USADA or shut up and breed tropical fish or something else out of the limelight.
