Now one major reason I'm not a fan of His Holiness is this sort of bollox in the media.
It irritates me that coverage of cycling in the mainstream media is all about Lance, like the BBC report after Milan-San Remo that Lance didn't do well, finished two-hundered-and-somethingth, oh and by the way Mark Cavendish won it.
But who is actually producing this stuff ?
- is it really the fault of Lance's PR team who keep producing press handouts and keeping their man in the spotlight
- or is it the media who pounce on the slightest doing or utterance of The Great Lance and think that the general public are interested it
- or is it just lazy/easy reporting, rather than actually finding real cycling stories, to just take Lance's PR handouts (in the way they take similar PR handouts from Downing Street, etc)
