As long as I breathe, I attack.
A few pairs of shorts i have had around 3-4 years have started to feel uncomfy , I do use them for commuting and weekend rides so worn at least once a week over the years .
I have tried using sock stop to stop the legs riding up but it feels more like the pad is loose around the crotch area so the pad moves so i end up sitting on the edge of the pad where the saddle edge so its not very comfy .
The shorts themselves do look in decent condition but they are just not comfy anymore.Mrs ck has a habit of bunging everything in at 60 c in the washer and tumble drying even though i have told her numerous times not to do that with my cycle gear it just gets put in with everything else.
I have tried a google search but as usual you get every result but the one your looking for .

Lycra degrades and loses elasticity when washed too hot, and the recommendation on just about everything I've seen is 30C, so it's unsurprising, unfortunately, that they're now essentially loose and wrecked.

I posted on another thread about hating others washing my clothes, this is an example of what happens, can't you wash your cycling clobber yourself ?

More information ......
The pad moves to the left so im basically sitting on the stitching on the edge of the pad on every pair i have tried , i can pull it around and its ok for a few miles then i have to pull it back again  .When i sit back down after standing i have to "position" myself to get the pad comfy .
Not sure if its just the shorts or if my fit / saddle is out of whack

If this is correct I imagine it's very easily checked. The pad is either securely sewn in place or it's not. A ten second look will determine this.

If the pad is properly secured in place then it has to be the shorts which are moving and the pad with them. This will be because of 3-4 years incorrect washing.
