Might upgrade to compressionless housing on my cable disc brakes, but I've never quite been sure of what I'm buying, and the local bike shop didn't really understand what I was asking for.

So what set of outers can I buy, I keep hearing the name Jagwire mentioned by they sell tonnes of different stuff.

And will I encounter problems curving it around the bars, or is it just a bit more huffing and puffing than standard housing but not really a problem to fit?

Normal half decent brake cables are compressionless. Jagwire or Shimano SP41 will do.

The Jagwire compression-housing that I have used is for shift cables. It has no coiled wire, just straight wires held together tightly by the housing material. It requires properly sized end terminations, or one of the housing wires might slip through with the shift cable and kink the housing slightly. I don't think they use this construction for brake cables, but I've been wrong before. Shimano OT-SP41 appears to be shift cable, too.

Shimano Road Bike Cable Sets with PTFE (teflon) lined housing have worked well for me, but for rim brakes in my usage. They are of the traditional coiled construction.

Noted in your other thread, but for completeness I used Jagwire KEB-SL housing for all my mechanical brakes, but get the Road Pro brake kit as it has proper end bits for the shifters.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I did used to have some good braking from these cable brakes so with a bit of fettling hopefully I can get back to that again.
