Oh, I'd change those for commuting. Ultremos are what you call a 'race' tyre like Michelin Pro Race, Conti GP 4000's and won't last the miles of a commute - and they are a bit expensive.
While I agree that Ultremo's are not the most durable tyre out there, I have the ZX on my everyday bike, and they are showing little wear after 3000 odd miles. As my winter wheels have a long-standing issue (unresolved due to rider idleness

Also you can pick them up for £20 every once in a while, so not all that expensive!
