I run max pressure on all tyres so it's 110psi on the commuter with Luganos and 145 on Lelly with the Duranos.

it depends if comfort is important to you. fwiw, i commute on shwalbe m+ 25mm and gatorskin 28mm (on different bikes). i used to commute on 23mm tyres, but once worn out i swapped them with bigger ones. to me - it makes sense to ride bigger tyres in london.

Surprised no ones said it yet, but personally although I think 23s are more than fine for every day commuting, I'm not so sure about year round! Come the ice and snow, I'd rather be on the cyclocross on 35mm!

My fixed runs 23-622 tyres. The road bike has 25-622 clinchers or 28" 21mm tubulars & my TT bike rolls on 28" 21mm tubs only. All are used for fast dry commutes. On my recumbent I run 55-559 in the winter & 40-559 in the summer, but this is because the impact of road surface imperfections is much more of a problem on this bike.

I currently run (in the winter conditions) just under 100 up front, with just over 100 rear.

Just spent the last week or so commuting on a Peloton Race. One pinch flat, but I suspect that was a) because the tyres didn't have enough air in them b) because I hit a square edged pothole at about 25mph, and c) because I weigh 16 stone 7lb, or indeed a combination of all three factors.

The front was at about 80 PSI when I got round to checking it, and I suspect the rear wasn't much higher. I have them at 140 R and 120 F now, and they sing along beautifully.

Ulremo ZX limits are marked up as 6.0 to 10.0 bar (145 PSI max)

I run Conti Ultra 23's in the warmer months on my road bike, in Winter I've got Swalbe Marathon Plus 25's on my commuter.

No problems on either!

I commute just over 26 miles a day...

23's will be fine for everyday use. If however you find the ride a bit harsh, you can always fit 25's when the tyres wear out.

The tyres are Schwalbe Ultremo ZX 23x622....

Oh, I'd change those for commuting. Ultremos are what you call a 'race' tyre like Michelin Pro Race, Conti GP 4000's and won't last the miles of a commute - and they are a bit expensive.

Bonti's are recommended, but aren't the most grippy tyre.
Conti 4 Seasons excellent, grippy, hard wearing but expensive.

I use Michelin Lithion 2's on my commute (have used Conti 4 Seasons) and you can pick them up for a reasonable price £12-£15 each, and they 'ride' very similar to Pro Race, although are slightly heavier and wear better.

Or you could ruin the 'feel' of your bike and fit horrible puncture resistant tyres that weigh more than an elephant !
