Anyone got a link to one please?. It's frustrating to read about shyster lawyers getting payments reduced on technicalities.
So I'm going all legal, which is proving to be more difficult than I thought it would.

I'm even wearing a helmet! Just because of the term contributory negligence or whatever the lawyer shite term is.

If I'm hurt or dead I wantsa get paid.

Well I'll be damned... I knew there was some good reason why the Australian government forced helmets on us all a few decades ago. It's so we don't fall victim to accusations of contributory negligence. Thanks heaps, Australian government! I swear you're better than any big brother .

Yawn guys, sometimes it's best to say nowt if you've nowt worth saying. I'm just after a link not an argument.

You make statements you cannot substantiate, which are in fact a fiction, then when you are picked up on them, you throw your toys out of your pram.

So where are the cases where compensation has been reduced for injured or dead cyclists where their lights have not been of the correct legal specification?

When I have been knocked down and the police attended they have never ever once shown interest in my lights and neither have the other party's lawyers when I bring a civil claim for damages. I currently have an on going civil claim for damages. Bike lights have not been mentioned once apart from me stating I had several bright front and rear lights plus reflective clothing. So stop inventing stuff.

Although Crankarm's right. Statistically you're more likely to get hit by an asteroid, than have your million pound settlement reduced to £1 due to your lights (which I'm sure are lovely & bright) not actually being BS compliant.

There are more important things in life to worry about. Such as enjoying your cycle ride.
