It came in a lot bought at auction. I don't think Evans would be willing to hand over customer details either.
There a a lot of ways to pass over the data without Evans handing over their customer details. eg they tell the customer the URL for this thread eg send them a message "... if it is yours you can contact the person seeking owner through <URL for this thread>" or a scratch e-mail address, etc.

If they can be bothered doing all that.
There's no gain in doing this for them, I feel they won't be interested.
Of course, asking won't go amiss, they can only say no.

I agree. Hence my initial comment as to being interested in the attitude they take if asked. Many years ago, previous ownership I found them OK when I purchased my bike from them. My experience is they are a very different company these days. But I'd still hope they'd do minimal work and an email to potentially reunite customer with what might be invaluable family photos (possible owner has uploaded to laptop but best not to assume that).

Have tried some of what @si_c suggested, but never thought of what @wiggydiggy suggested, trying the club forums. So I'll be trying some tomorrow.

I have the street name, property number, and the know that the picture in the first post was taken in the back garden. A name from one of the other pictures. Unfortunately that name doesn't show in the area in question.

Depending on how Sherlock Holmes you want to be if you found the house/street, then looked at the back garden on Google Maps you could take a good guess at which it might be. Could send a letter to a couple of likely addresses with an email address for them to reply to?

I dropped my wallet earlier this year, and someone found it then contacted my work* who got in touch with me with their details and they posted it back to me. Good deeds are appreciated!

*When my work emailed me they spelt my name wrong but thats by the by!

Get the wedding photos up on Reddit for the Wirral - someone is bound to recognise people.
Wedding photos should have a date, time and location so maybe contact authorities carrying out wedding and asking if they'd return the card (with photos). Most authorised to carry out weddings would probably appreciate the importance of such photos and have a cooperative ethic.
