Any Sporttracks users on here?

And if there are, are you using their new Cloudsync service, if so what do you think and presumably it's an extra cost to Sporttracks is it, not part of the original purchase? I've been looking at the support forum but can't work that out.

Love SportTracks, but I haven't bothered with CloudSync because I don't need it.
It seems that you have to sign up for the mobile version, which costs $35 p.a.

I used sportstracks a couple of times and it seems good. However strava is pretty neat and other sites implore you to upload the stats means that we all get tired of using multiple analysis software.

BR have gone a step in the right direction by extracting the data directly from strava, a one stop shop for uploading is a good step forward.

Crackle, if you just want to access your data from several computers by keeping it all in one remote location and accessing it from several instillations, you can use dropbox to achieve this. Ask @Edwards80 for the fine details, he has done it as far as I know. I gather you just point each sportstracks instillation at the dropbox directory. As long as connected to dropbox, sportstracks gets all of your data from the remote folder and any changes or data uploads will be made to the remote folder.

Sportstracks can not really be compared to Strava, Sportstracks is a proper desktop data analysis tool and is very powerful with the right plugins (it is a bit messy for me though, since you have to find the right plugins etc to get the required functionality), Strava is an online toy/social networking site. Whatever BR (?) is, it is a mistake to extract data from Strava as data is lost on upload (similarly with Garmin Connect). If you actually care about your data, you ought to be using the .FIT files.

The Cloudsync is very good, I'm trying the trial version now but I don't need it, so won't take it up, I can see why more serious athletes would though.

For the motivational statisticy, friend stuff, Strava is just fine. As Rob says it's not a patch on Sporttracks which can do so much more, more accurately and can be used at many levels, I've not found anything as easy to use and as comprehensive, it goes well past what I need but it also does the simple stuff well.

I was just curious to see if anyone was using it and also I couldn't, at first, work out if it was extra but it is.

The dropbox method works for me but it's not supported by them, so updates etc. could potentially break it.

It's simple enough to do though, just point the software at the dropbox folder and install sporttracks on each machine. Some plugins need to use the program folder so this method won't work for those in some cases too.

Sporttracks does give you far more data to play with but on Strava you can wave you're e-penis around for getting a "KOM" on a 0.1mile downhill ;)
