So, update...
I I had my bike fit done by andy Bishop in worksop. I think he made a great job of it...he uses a mixture of technology, measuring and observation. my bike now rides so much better!
Andy was great, personal and dedicated... he even fixed an annoying mechanical niggle on my bike because it annoyed him too.
after starting riding again my knees are holding up quite well and I've decided to forgo the physio for the moment. I'll see how things go on.
Just for info Andy is currently charging £50 for a fit.
