Ask away. My usual routes are .

1 - To Brecon Town Centre and back via Penderyn.
2 - The Taff Trail from Abercynon to Pontsticill and back (or sometimes on somewhat further)
3 - Cwm Cadlen across to Brecon and then either towards Abercynon or Brecon
4 - A gentle loop that taken me through the Dare Valley Country Park and onto the top of Cwmaman and back down into Aberaman and then home.

sounds good; i was thinking of doing the taff trail in its entirety this weekend, or if not, the weekend after. I've heard that its a stunning ride, I can't believe i haven't even done some of it before. What did you make of it?

The bit from Torpantau summit (where the tunnel was on the old railway) down to Talybont reservoir is great, a screaming dwonhill for about three miles. there's a nice pub in Talybont too, in case you're thirsty.

The section between Abercynon and Merthyr is great apart from a couple nast set of steps and a rather uninviting underpass. Pontypridd to Abercynon is delightful. Have fun.
