Probably an Osprey - they are based at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk.
Do we have Ospreys or just the Yanks ?

Here's a few for the 'spotters' out there.
I hitched a lift from Mogadishu with the 'mericans in 1995 aboard a Super Stallion, because of the distance that we had to fly, we also conducted IFR (In-Flight-Refuelling) with a Herc. Quite an experience....and Yank grunt food is shite !!

SAS are supposed to have two at their disposal.Think I read somewhere that special forces use Ospreys. So as it was heading towards Hereford......
If there are no others with such rotors at the wing tips it would have to have been an Osprey. Thanks chaps.
Pretty sure it wasn't that Valor. Thanks @classic33SAS are supposed to have two at their disposal.
The only other one you're likely to see, in the air.

'kinell you'd not want to catch the hose in the rotor!
This clip came to mind when I saw the refuelling image above. Who designs a helicopter where the rotor disc overlaps a protruding part of it?! I suppose the answer to that is "Sikorsky do".
