  • I'm new too and not yet done it in the rain. If u look in the beginners section, I have a little beginners thread going called 'My Firsts' which is my cycling journey so far. It might inspire you and entertain you. It seems popular for some odd reason.

Howay man, you're a Geordie bloke. A bit of rain isn't going to hurt you!

Haha brilliant read, can certainly see why it's popular. Genuinely laughed out loud at points.

More concerned about it hurting my new shiny bike!

Plus its horribly unpleasant. I would rather ride on Venus than in Scotland*. I cant stand the rain.

On the contrary, I would love to cycle through the highlands.....Just not when its raining.

Cheers for the welcome everyone, much appreciated!

Certainly agree that I'm blessed with plenty of fantastic scenery for my rides, hoping the weather stays half decent for a while longer, already dreading the thought of riding in the rain.
Hello fellow newbie  I don't mind the rain, but the wind is 'orrible. 25 miles yesterday and whichever direction I went, I had headwind....Downside of living in the flat lands of the Fens!
