Now you've got your new bike LL, get the Wax polish out.
Coat all the brake and gear adjusters. Threads and bare cables. Especially the rear mech adjuster - this one gets corroded quick as wink.
For bare cables, I use Wax-oil ( used to be Finnegans ) and smear it on with my fingers.
Squirt some spray polish on all the Hex heads and down the stem clamp, seat post clamp and in the B/B weather seals.
Mech pivots need treating too. They will keep loose and won't get full of crud if you first fill them with wax.
Generally treat the whole bike ( except the brake tracks ) with wax. Even the spoke nipples - fill the gaps between the nipple and the hole.
Two years on and my Dawes is 'as new'. No seized threads.
