1.I fail to see the relevance here.A rr sport is just a Discovery with a rr body,a rr vogue is the base model rr.

I always use motorways, even the toll ones,if they go where I need to.

1. From experience, the sport model only appears to be bought as a status symbol, and a poor one at that. Think about what it represents, the name of the model (sport FFS) and the general look of it. All done to justify an "I'm consideribly richer than yaoww" and "i'm more important than yaoww" image.

A normal RR, less so. Many are bought to go off road, though I accept many aren't

A few weekends back I was out for an early Sunday morning ride. Whilst stopped at a set of red lights (no cars around initially ) I was just taking a drink waiting for the lights to go green a car pulled up alongside me, wound his window down and growled something along the lines of "C**ts like you should use the F***ing cycle lanes thats why they are F***ing well there and leave the F***ing roads for cars. I suggested very calmly that he should indeed invest in a bike and start riding it as it is a marvellous exercise and good for relieving the obvious stress you are suffering !! At this point he went berserk and drove off through the still red light !! Some drivers really are amazing
There are prats in cars, quite a lot,but I was just making the point that not all cyclists are perfect.I seem to be digging a big hole, best throw the shovel away.

Don't think you will find too many arguments with that but if a cyclist does something stupid on the road they will be the one who is likely to get hurt, if someone driving a car does something stupid..........oh yeah, the cyclist is the one who is likely to get hurt.

I ride a bike,on & off road, because I choose to.I drive a car on the road because I have to.

So,if I had dirty windows, would that make me a drug dealing farmer?

Funny you should mention the windows, when I was looking for mine,it had to be a used one,as clients hate to see contractors in new vehicles,I had hells own job finding one without tinted windows.Didnt want to look like a farmer.

Aaaaagghhh but are you a cyclist who drives a car or a motorist who rides a bike?!
I like to think of myself as a road user (ex motorcyclist, ex boy racer, ex 4x4 owner, ex rapid responce driver). Being in a hated group of one form or another since passing my test in 92, has left me in the anti- against them camp, it doesn't matter who the "them" are.

Two directors of a major PLC I used to manage a site for both ordered new Range Rovers at the same time in the same colour. One ordered a Vogue, one a sport. The Sport was a considerably nicer car.

I think it is more than a little immature to be honest to label people according to what car they drive. Reverse that process and apply it to bikes, "He was on a Pinarello - obviously has a small penis". It's ridiculous isn't it ?
