You might've wanted to look up the sort of cars used by the moonshine runners in the US during the prohibition era. The lessons learned there went into building the very first NASCAR racers post-war. And in fact, the best early racers were actually the fellas who ran the moonshine pre-war.
Nothing much to do with cars but some of the Scotch whisky distillers of the 1950’s and 1960’s were exbootleggers.
I worked for one of them and nearby distilleries had similar owners. We were eventually taken over by some with definite experience and they were of Italian extraction from Chicago. Draw your own conclusions.

I'm waiting until a day when I'm tired out to paint the power station interior. In the meantime I'm working on a different model, namely the first (and so far only) Casino on Ascension.

That's *very* art deco. Reminds me of some of the suburban London tube stations.
