The Contec La Baguette Magique handlebars and Ergon GP1 grips arrived today and they have transformed my bike! Absolutely excellent with no caveats. The sweep at 35° seems just about perfect to me. They're a little bit wider than I'm used to at 660mm but since I'm sitting in a more upright position it works really well. They seem to allow a little bit of flex too which also helps comfort. Importantly my wrist pain has all but vanished. The Ergon grips are interesting too because my bike already came fitted with Cubes' equivalent. They look broadly similar but the Ergons' fit my hand just that bit better. I bought the large size which refers to the circumference rather than the length and that seems to have made a real difference.

You're at the outer limit of these, according to the blurb (and if them wheels are 26").

Those are the ones I've been looking at although - you're right - in the 29" variety. It doesn't rain much here though & I suspect the next pair of tyres I buy won't be quite so wide. Great tyres though, very smooth & still surprisingly quick, even at 30 PSI.
