Not certain but presumably there some kind of accelerometer sensor inside, similar to that in phones etc.
The light has three LEDs and two settings.
One is auto, which turns on the top LED when the light level drops in the evening.
The second setting has the top LED on all the time.
Both settings have brake light function enabled. When you slow down all three LEDs light up solid for a few seconds, if you slow down sharply all three LEDs flash for a few seconds.

I bought a set of these, good focused beam on the front light and when riding the rear light seems to do as described as in the harder you brake the brighter it gets, the front one would be better with a flash function but good otherwise.

No it wouldn't.

I see they have the waterproof trousers - these have held up well for the commute - ideal for biblical rain.

that reminds me... i bought some a few years back and returned them the next day.
They'd have been fine if i were just walking around but sat on a saddle they were only this long...

I had a merino base layer that lasted ages from Aldi. it was 3/4 sleeves, which I don't think was deliberate  , but actually quite useful for cycling

they are still waterproof, without being too much boil in the bag.

For me, there is no such thing. I just get too sweaty.

I've given up on waterproof cycle clothing, I just accept I'll get wet if it rains.

The only time that has been an issue was one journey to work last year, when it was 2°C and tipping down, not helped by wearing gloves I doin't usually use below about 6-7°. That was the coldest I have ever felt on the bike, and it was several minutes in the warm shower in the offuice before I started to feel reasonable.

on no it wouldnt (look out hes behind you).

Nice to see you!!

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
Bought a set of these lights last week for £12.99
Seem very good.
Brake light function on rear light works well.
Front light auto brightness setting seems good too and beam shape has a sharp cutoff to prevent dazzling others.

K marked on the lens or body? They are often the only lights worth buying in the German supermarket sales. Road legal, too. About the only legal non-blinkies you'll find in UK shops now.

Other stuff is a lottery. I've had good phone holders but awful panniers.

When I was a daytime rider, that was fine.
But if I'm out for 5+ hours in the depths of winter, or doing a night ride, then a softshell jacket adds warmth and a degree of showerproofing without suffering any boil-in-the-bag wetness inside.

ALthough actually, it's fine to have a BITB jacket if riding gently; I've done that in foul conditions many a time.
I did buy a goretex jacket cheaply in the Wiggle sell-off (Perfetto Ros 2), that's VERY impressive.

That is bonkers. Correct, but really?

Almost the only technically legal bike lights you can buy in the UK shops are from the discount supermarket!
