Almost the only technically legal bike lights you can buy in the UK shops are from the discount supermarket!
Yes, them and Lidl. Sometimes another small bucket shop will buy a load of German bike lights but that's almost accidental. Then there's a few famous touring bike shops like SJS in Bridgwater but I suspect even they sell more cheap off road tat that will be used to dazzle other road users.

Yes.

Though having said that, there are more StZVO lights becoming avaiable in the UK, and anything meeting that standard is legal here. Lezyne and Cateye both now have StVZO lights.

Cateye have long had them, just not sold many here. I suspect the cheaper tat "Volt" range is more profitable than "GVolt".

Still, you try finding any in a shop that's not a Brompton dealer!
