It looks similar to the £30 kits you see on Amazon, as per earlier reply on this thread. Not a bad kit to start out with. I have most of the tools already, bought here & there over the years. The allure of a new set all in a neat box will not overcome my willpower though !

I have mentioned the toolkit before.

If you need only 2 of those items, go for it.
It is all middle to high quality, and may become a whole bike education in the one package.

Reason why I am looking at the Aldi one as it stores two bikes, which will store both bikes efficiently by the looks of it. Can it double as a workstand then?
Yes, you can use it as a workstand to do most jobs, but the main disadvantages are that it will trap the rear brake cable and you wont be able to walk around the bike if it's up against a well. However, it's good enough for adjusting derailleurs, wiping down bike and chain, lubing etc.

Certainly get the kit if you don't have anything. It takes years to build one up fully. If the tools last a few years then it's good. I have 20 plus years of tools etc and only recently have enough for everything on my bikes(I think). There is always another tool needed.

BTW in Commuting Mr Cellophane has kindly pointed out that if you buy the Daily Mirror tomorrow it has a £5 off voucher for Aldi shops over £35.00.

saw that but if i do buy it wont be that much! may look at the tops and waterproof bottoms (sweaty gear drys faster than sodden wet gear i find!!!) i have rear lights that take 3 AAA's so not too bad really charging at works makes it even cheaper!
