Great stuff, I'm needing a new pair of shoes.

For info to those wondering about quality, I've been using the Aldi velcro fastening spd shoes for about 2 years now (though the soles look different from that picture). Getting a bit tatty from year round commuting use (but then so would expensive ones) so could do with replacing but I've no complaints and will be getting a pair again this time round.

I take it those shoes don't take SPD-SL cleats?

Thanks for the link Ffoeg. I think I'll be getting a set of the arm/legwarmers and maybe the jacket for the winter. Anyone have any thoughts on the lock? It looks pretty tough.

So many things I dont need but feel compelled to buy, in a year or two I think ill own everything in the catalogue when it comes out. I think i might settle for a pair of the rather fetching tights to go under baggies, rather than riding in combats this winter. I would have tried the shoes, but theyre nowhere near my size.

It looks just like the one my nephew has and probably is from Aldi. Its alright for locking his bike outside a shop for 5 mins, but I dont think id trust it with a valuable steed

Just looked at the catalogue and disappointed about the shoes. They don't do size 7 !Not fair! Shoe sizes are from 8 to 10.

bike stand looks decent, anyone bought one of these before?

The Aldi bike stand is a solid piece of kit. I have had one in the garage for storing my 2 road bikes for a couple of years and have no complaints. It's fairly tall so watch for adequate roof height.

The winter softshell jackets and trousers are also great value for money. I have black and red jackets and 2 pairs of the winter trousers from a couple of years ago and they are among the best cycling stuff I've bought from Lidl or Aldi. (Best of all is the Lidl workstand though!).

Agree with the above. I succumbed and bought the better Lidl stand recently.

My old Aldi black and white winter soft shell is great even with the 'I am cheap' lettering on the back (gone on the new ones I believe)

Reason why I am looking at the Aldi one as it stores two bikes, which will store both bikes efficiently by the looks of it. Can it double as a workstand then?

The Pannier racks are good - come 'flat packed' though.

Looks like I'll get some spoke refectors for son's commuter, might take a look at the bar grips, puncture kit, compression base (these are good), quick release mudguards for the MTB for winter commutes.... looking expensive !
