A caveat: I bought this:

For a week's commute it was fine, better than fine actually, the fact that nylon threads were 'leaking' from the zip, was not a problem (even when I found some of them in my cassette) On a very cold day I cycled to work and afterwards to the pub and was as warm as toast, on the way home from the pub I had to take off a layer (it was VERY cold) The 100% clincher was that there is stitching directly across my shoulder blades, and after a week I cannot bear to put it on. If I were to write that it was 'painful' I am sure that I would be encouraged to MTFU, but I will say that it is EXCRUCIATINGLY annoying, such that I cannot bear to put the damned thing on ever again.

I also bought the thermal underwear and some glasses. Also went to TK Maxx across the road from ALDI and bought a few New Balance Coolmax tops (long sleeve and short sleeve) and a pair of cycling leggings. All in black, of course. Total spent = £44 ^_^

I went Friday morning and they were out of the thermal underwear except for XL which was no good. Had a look at the materials and doubt I would've bought it anyway as wasn't keen. I did however get a pair of glasses, stuck in the yellow lenses and went out this morning and they're great, really brightened everything up. They do fog when you stop but while riding not an issue, best £4 I've spent

Hmmm, looks similar to last years. I originally bought a large one but took it back the next day and swopped it for an XL so mine's pretty loose and I don't have the same problem. As you say it is very warm - definitely one for cold days only.

Got the same top but in blue, i find it was nice and toasty, although i did wear it over a t-shirt and a aldi cycling jersey
