Advice on removing ugly sticker from frame

I've a got a massive Halfords sticker that's been on the bike since it was built (which is about 25 years old). Glad I saw this thread, I was wondering the same thing! WD40 seems to be a good thing to have around the house...

Nail polish remover will strip the paint, I wouldn't use that.
