At the Bullring shopping centre you'll know it's a friendly place,
From the moment that you enter there's a smile upon your face,
Shops galore and so much more at the famous indoor market,
Come by bus or come by car or come by magic carpet.

Almost.

It's...

At the Bullring Shopping Centre there's a smile on every face
From the moment that you enter, you'll know it's a friendly place
There are shops galore and so much more and the famous indoor market
Come by bus or come by car there's a place where you can park it

It's one stop shopping variety
It's one stop shopping for you and me
Pubs and restaurants if you want a snack
Once you've been you'll want to come back

I dream the fucking thing.

New car, Jane?
Yes, Wally, got it at Swithland Motors; sunroof, spoiler, trendy white paint job.
Find out why Wally fainted?

Radio Luxembourg - when millionaires were millionaires and music was music!

I should add that it was HB advertising his then famous "Infradraw" system. National lottery didn't exist and the Football Pools was the way to go...

Radio Luxembourg - when millionaires were millionaires and music was music!

I remember that - but I don't remember a tune, just the boring old fa**s voice 'cos he insisted on voicing his own ads, and there always seemed to be one of those deep fades we used to have to listen through while he was saying K-E-Y-N-S-.....

Another ad that for some reason that has brought back to mind is

A double diamond works wonders
works wonders
works wonders
A double diamond works wonders
works wonders
works wonders

but I can't remember the rest of it.

I dont remember Radio Luxembourg doing drinks adverts (for awful tasteless beer when I was underage) so why it poppped up in my brain I don't know.

Anyone remember the Cresta polar bear - 'It's frothy man'. We thought he was soooo cool!;) (The drink was unspeakably bad, unfortunately.)

if I hear that ****ing tune again
I'll end up in heaven

That too managed to wind me up within about 0.5 seconds, but I still remember the exact product, just like you have.

Therefore probably the most efficient ad I have seen in a long time.

Was a regular on Tyne Tees television when I was a lot younger.

Another regular was: '
March the Tailors dress you well, impress you well'

Don't know why it stuck but I wasn't old enough to own a suit or even show interest in owning one when March the tailors disappeared from the high street.
