A track I've heard used as a 'bed' on various radio & TV shows is actually a Northern Soul classics AND was sampled by Fatboy Slim

wall paper gets bigger when you put it on the wall!

only realised this when I was repairing some damp affected patches and the leftover roll appeared to be 10mm narrower than what was on the wall, but cover in paste and hey presto it expands!

That there's a chip in the handle of my car key (ok, I drive a 52 plate, so not exactly new), and if the car's electronics can't read it, it automatically engages the immobiliser.

Whoops.

replacements are available at many locations

And when it dries it shrinks back again. I've got 2-3mm gaps between some strips now.

Nail the strips on whilst they're wet to avoid shrinkage.

WHy not just nail them on dry???
6 inch nails should hold it up nicely

to be serious - I have papered several times and never noticed an shrinking and re-expanding

The first paper I ever did was like bog roll when wet - if you were not careful it stretched in all directions - pain the the neck to get it up and lined up right
You can tell where I started as there were gaps and overlaps - then where I finished it was perfect (ish)!

I’ve just discovered that the start of the famous theme tune for the Mission Impossible series, which goes 🎶der der, dit dit / der der, dit dit🎶 is morse code for M I 🤯
( _ _= M & . . = I)

Why did nobody tell me this years ago?!

P.S. I see wikipedia says it’s not verified that Lalo Schifrin did this deliberately but it’s still pretty neat.

It's not quite on the scale of Nostradamus, but the old English folk song " Green Grows the Rushes - O " contains the line " Endeavor Morse shall be so "
