Ad blocker

Any recommendations for a good free ad blocker? I subscribe to a few cycling channels on Youtube and the amount of ad pop ups is ridiculous now so I'd like to prevent them.
For desktop use with Edge and Chrome.

Chrome is a no go really for adblocking, google have broken it recently.

I use firefox with ublock origin and I don't see adds. For mobile use Youtube Revanced if on android.

Both are limited in their adblock capabilities, google Manifest V3 for more information, but the tldr; is that Google limited the way adblockers could work so they are unable to be as effective and are less efficient than they were. This was done under the guise of "user safety".

I use Premium membership to block ads on YouTube! I haven't seen any YouTube ads since January 2023.

Yes, it is a bit expensive (£12.99/month) but I use YouTube a lot (1,500+ hours since signing up for Premium) and I think that Google and the video creators deserve paying for their efforts. I am effectively paying Google £5.84/month and the video creators £7.15.

+1 for Brave. It's noticeably faster and it's easy to turn off the blocking for certain sites if you need to.

I could tolerate, and might even look at, a vaguely relevant link, but many unblocked sites are completely unusable. Do the advertisers actually think they help sell products?
