John, I applaud this effort (which I assume you have a stake in or otherwise support by action or resource). But I reckon you need to improve the way you gather the data to take advantage of the knowledge and goodwill which I'm sure exists among touring (and other) cyclists for this sort of knowledge assembly.
I was ready to add a few places which I had been pleased to find and stay in over the last couple of years, but the amount of data you ask for immediately put me off: it'd take 10+ minutes ish (including finding all the data required) for each place. Perhaps making it clearer at the top of the 'Recommend an Accommodation' form that a simple name and address is all that's mandated. Just saying.
