is anyone else having a terrible year for punctures?
I had 6 in January, 1 February, 1 March & 4 so far this month (2 on the way into work tonight).
I was only struck twice last year, & haven't changed anything.

Oh well

that many suggests the tyres are on their way out (assuming you keep them at a decent pressure; failing to do that can make punctures a more regular occurrence)…

Had three in a week a fortnight ago on two different bikes. Hadn't had one for at least a year before.

Hit a pothole on the road bike at speed and had a pinch flat.

Hit a raised drain cover on my CX and had what I thought was a pinch flat but after changing the tube and got a puncture a bit later raised that I had chunk out of the tyre.

Fingers crossed for another puncture free year now.

This is across 3 bikes, 1 has new tyres, 1 is still running winter tyres with low mileage, the last only has about 2000 miles on it (only 1 puncture on this one). Pressures are in the range on the side walls.

I think it's just shear bad luck.

I always carry 2 on my commute. 1 for leisure rides.

Last year I had 5 commute punctures and 3 leisure ones.
Are you still running Spesh Armadillos Ian? They were good for puncture protection when I used them, but I've switched to Durano Plus, which are equally good, if not better. I can't remember the last time I had a puncture with them. (more hexing).

Funnily enough I have just swapped from Armadillos to Durano Plus for the commuter. The Armadillo's are very long lasting but the pay off is they are not the fastest rolling tyres... I tried Durano Plus' before and found they didn't last as long but they were quicker... so thought I would give them another go.
